Consider this a trial run for volunteering at the Billings Estate. Dec. 18 and 19 there’ll be a Christmas tea at the museum, and they would like you to help with food preparation, meeting and greeting guests, collecting surveys, and running kids’ activities and crafts. Centre 454 serves the street people in the Market area every day, including weekends. The program is wide-ranging and includes cards and board games, arts and crafts, preparing and sharing snacks and coffee, and just hanging out. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. LiveWorkPlay is looking for someone who could come in on Saturdays to assist staff with a variety of administrative tasks and prepare mail outs. Potential candidates must speak and write English fluently and be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite and the internet. Calling All Theatre Lovers!:
Odyssey Theatre, Ottawa’s only professional mask theatre company is seeking enthusiastic, hands-on Board members to help support and promote Odyssey’s unique contribution to the performing arts in Canada. A two-year commitment is desired. Volunteers should have a college or university degree or equivalent experience, several years work experience, and an interest in the performing arts. Prior experience on a board or committee in a not-for-profit organization would be an asset. Areas of activity include, but are not limited to: fundraising, marketing, events organizing, PR and media relations.
