Doors Open Ottawa, June 4 and 5, needs volunteers with a special love of Ottawa’s history and architecture and who like interacting with people. Greet visitors as they tour the various sites. Centre 507 has clients with varied needs to be met. One such requirement is for supplies for the artists’ studio. Keeping an inventory of these supplies is the task of a volunteer, along with seeking donors of artistic materials. This task occupies about four hours a month. If you have a car and a couple of free hours Wednesday afternoon, they’re looking for someone to pick up and deliver bread to the Centre. Call Chris at 613-233-5626.
The Eastern Ontario Youth Justice Agency provides counselling and alternatives to custody programs for young people found guilty under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. The agency is looking for a lawyer to join their volunteer Board of Directors. Getting On Board:
The In Community provides opportunities for persons with disabilities to realize their full capacity for membership in the community, through a variety of programs and services. The agency is calling for nominations to their Board of Directors, by Friday, May 6. Experience and/or training in Public Relations, Health Care or Mental Health are especially desirable.
