Bringing Kosher Food to those in the community: Jewish family Services is a full service, non-sectarian agency and is looking for drivers for their Kosher Meals on Wheels program. This position is always looking to be filled and can be a regular route, backup, winter only, and last minute position. Routes take less than an hour and are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. Are you a good public speaker? If yes, the Canadian Cancer Society is looking for  presentation/display volunteers. In this position, you will help deliver presentations and staff displays on behalf of the CCS. English, French and other languages are welcome and you must have day-time availability. Balancing the budget:  Entraide Budgetaire Ottawa is a French not-for-profit organization helping low-income individuals file simple personal income tax returns, even when they are 1-10 years late. This organization is looking for volunteers during this high demand season with experience in accounting and filing software. Bilingualism is an asset (French/English). Police check required. Everyday Champions:  Consider how you’d feel if everyone in your life was paid to care about you. People with disabilities are often surrounded by those that have to be in their lives.  Each Citizen Advocacy volunteer comes forward by choice to be matched one-on-one to a person with a disability (protégé). We’ll take time to get to know you so that we can successfully match you to someone with a disability who shares your interests, and needs companionship as well as some assistance. Holiday Madness! Volunteer Ottawa, an organization linking people with community organizations that need volunteers’ energy to deliver their critical community services, is calling for individuals aged 16 or over, families or groups to staff its Wrap and Raise booth at Billings Bridge Shopping Centre, at Bank and Riverside. All wrapping supplies are donated by the shopping centre. While the fun lasts from December 1 to Christmas Eve, there’s an urgent need for wrappers on December 24 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.). Skating Along: Winter’s coming, and with it comes the opportunity to get out and have fun.  Christie Lake Kids offers children the opportunity to do just that!  Love skating?  Share your skating skills with kids by volunteering in their new Saturday morning skating program. Three skating volunteers required for Saturdays 12-1pm at Brewer Arena across from Carleton University.
