Glee in the Glebe – The Glebe Centre is a non-profit Long Term Care Facility situated in the heart of the Glebe, that provides full time care to residents, as well as providing activities and programming in an integrated community setting. Volunteers are needed as drivers, in the Mom and Tot program, for Tea time, as a Manicurist, as a Baking Assistant, as a Day Away volunteer, Spanish/French speaking volunteers, in the Beading group (Friday afternoons), in the Baking/Social Group, and as an Art Group facilitator. Lend a listening ear: Distress Centre of Ottawa are the people who, 24/7, are here to answer the calls from those who are reaching out for help. With over 200 volunteers answering over 39,000 calls a year, they provide an integral, important and vital service in the community. Are you non-judgemental and able to listen to those in emotional need? Are you available for 16 hours a month and able to provide a minimum commitment of one year?
