It may be cold outside but Friends of the Central Experimental Farm requires coordinators for three fundraising events – Craft Sale, Rare and Unusual Plant Sale, and Art on the Farm – which take place at the Central Experimental Farm on selected weekends from April to August 2013. The coordinators are responsible for planning and delivering each event. Duties include reviewing and selecting vendor applications, determining vendor table assignment, and scheduling volunteers to assist at each event. Position requires excellent communication and organizational skills, and ability to work well in a group setting. English/French and previous event planning experience an asset. Glee in the Glebe – The Glebe Centre is a non-profit Long Term Care Facility situated in the heart of the Glebe, that provides full time care to residents, as well as providing activities and programming in an integrated community setting. Volunteers are needed as drivers, in the Mom and Tot program, for Tea time, as a Manicurist, as a Baking Assistant, as a Day Away volunteer, Spanish/French speaking volunteers, in the Beading group (Friday afternoons), in the Baking/Social Group, and as an Art Group facilitator. Let There be Music: Music for Life Fundraising Concerts‘ focus is to provide cancer benefit concerts across Canada to raise funds to help local cancer or hospital foundations and provide a venue to help local artists & entertainers to donate their time and talents. A whole team of volunteers is needed, including a communications assistant, translator (English to French), IT tech support, web services director, photo editor, entertainment coordinator, an entertainment lawyer, outreach coordinator and administrative support.
