Kick Start your Canada Day Weekend in the park! Volunteer with the 9th Annual Community Cup Celebration and Soccer Tournament taking place on Sunday June 30th from 9am to 5pm at Brewer Park (across from Carleton University). Join our team and help us connect newcomers and Canadians through sport, culture and community. Act now! The GRDO (Gloucester Recreation Development Organization) is a non-profit organization that provides sport skill development and leadership programs to children who may face barriers to participation in mainstream recreation and sport programs. They are specifically looking for a Board Member (Treasurer). The board meets on the second Thursday of each month. Be a part of the world’s biggest beach volleyball tournament! Join 1,000 other volunteers on Saturday July 13th to facilitate Ottawa’s #1 summer event held right on Mooney’s Bay beach by becoming a H.O.P.E. (Helping Other People Everywhere) volunteer. Do you have what it takes to call players on fouls? Have a friendly and outgoing personality? Be a team player and basically have the can-do-anything attitude?  Don’t mind working outdoors? Help out with this one of a kind cultural experience! Chamberfest 2013 is a 14-day music festival (July 25-August 8) and welcomes 360 performers from all over the world. As a volunteer, you will play an essential part in many different roles: ushers, stage hands, box office, publicity, marketing, and more. Music and Beyond!  The 3rd Annual Music and Beyond Festival (July 4-15) is a new Canadian summer music festival, featuring classical music in its varying formations and a spectrum of art forms and cultural disciplines. Volunteers work before and during the festival to make it happen.  A translator is needed to translate English to French.  Teams of postering volunteers are needed to spread the word.
